About DC Federal Litigation Counsel
Federal court representation from Washington, DC
Our Mission
DC Federal Litigation Counsel exists to provide access to federal courts for clients who need experienced representation in the nation's capital. We focus exclusively on federal court litigation and administrative law matters that require counsel admitted to practice in DC federal courts.
Our federal court admissions allow us to represent clients in matters that many attorneys cannot handle—from pro hac vice sponsorship to complex litigation before the Court of Federal Claims and DC Circuit Court of Appeals.
Why Federal Court Admission Matters
Many attorneys are admitted only to state courts or district courts outside Washington, DC. When litigation arises in DC federal courts, these attorneys need local counsel or pro hac vice sponsorship to participate.
Our federal court admissions include:
U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia
U.S. Court of Federal Claims
U.S. Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit
U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit
Supreme Court of the United States
These admissions allow us to:
Serve as local counsel for out-of-jurisdiction attorneys
Sponsor pro hac vice applications
File cases directly in federal court
Appear at hearings and argue motions
Handle appeals to the circuit courts
